The Metro is known as Jacksonville's number one gay venue, and for good reason! The club is more of an entertainment complex than your standard run-of-the-mill club.

It is open daily and has different stuff to entertain and delight you everyday. On Sundays, The Early Girl show is on at 9:00 pm. On Mondays and Tuesdays you can Karaoke to your hearts content with Rob. Wednesdays, you can enjoy a wild drag show and/or their amateur strip contest with prizes up to $50. Put on your dancing shoes on Thursday for some line dancing or you can even join in their talent shows. Their Premier Drag shows are up for Fridays and Saturdays. Now that’s a whole week of fun and excitement.

The Metro is unique since it has 6 different locations that you can choose from depending on your style and taste. The first venue would be club shadow; this is North Florida’s best drag show bar. You can enjoy drinks and the sitting capacity and standing space is sufficient enough. Next, The Boom Boom room is the place to be if you want to dance, dance, and dance. Sapphos, is their very own version of a lesbian bar. It is complete with lights and poles and everything you could imagine. Metro’s game room as the name goes is a place to play pool or mess with a video game and a dartboard. The boiler room is a place to check out male dancers and to enjoy nice country music. The Rainbow room is the relaxing side of the Metro. This piano bar section gives you the privacy and quietness of a candle lit dinner while you simply enjoy your hubby’s company.

The drinks at the Metro Bar is fairly priced and on occasion you can enjoy their specials that include, two for one beer or even Martinis for only $5. The Metro is a growing favorite amongst the locals and is making a strong name for itself as we speak.
